Learning Objectives

Each location will enhance the curricular learning objectives of Headwaters Academy. While immersed in the local culture and environment, students will be able to:

• practice and progress emerging Spanish language skills and cultural understanding.

• complete regionally-specific workshops in: wildlife biology, history, geography and geology.

• advance team-building, navigation and communication skills via age-appropriate leadership development curriculum.

• dive into introductory lessons in risk-assessment and decision-making processes.

• further self-development by increasing one’s personal understanding and compassion, expanding self-confidence and practicing self-advocacy skills.
